| General Document Recognition
Esker’s patent-pending General Document Recognition
(GDR) technology automates the faxing of documents generated
by host applications—with no change to the application
code. Using document content to identify the recipient and
then retrieving the fax number from an address book or database,
GDR lowers the cost of production fax for fast return on investment.
Desktop fax
As a high-performance solution for desktop faxing throughout
the enterprise, Esker Fax integrates with leading email platforms,
including Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise,
SMTP-based Internet mail and more to streamline inter- and
intra-business communication with a single, familiar inbox
for both fax and email.
Scalability and performance
With features such as Load Balancing and Microsoft Clustering
support, Esker Fax can easily be scaled up and out to meet
the changing needs of any organization. These features add
value by reducing unplanned downtime, improving total hours
of service operation, and providing fault tolerance. Esker
Fax’s Load Balancing coordinates the operation of multiple
and/or geographically dispersed Esker Fax servers, improving
processing efficiency by distributing workloads among servers.
Clustering allows two or more servers to work together as
one, redirecting resources and redistributing workload as
needed in the event of a server failure.
